- The Rangers defeated the Winnipeg Jets, 3-0, tonight at Madison Square Garden for their third win in four games, and are now 14-4-0 in their last 18 games. ... New York has posted a record of 31-12-4 (66 pts) on the season, including a 15-5-2 mark at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers have registered at least one point in 30 of their last 39 games (28-9-2), dating back to Oct. 29, after beginning the season with a 3-3-2 mark. ... Lundqvist To Start As Biron Out With Flu; Chad Johnson Recalled From Whale
Earlier this morning, Steve Zipay at Newsday reported that Martin Biron would get the start against the Winnipeg Jets tonight, but now Biron is out with the flu and Henrik Lundqvist will get the nod. According to Katie Strang of ESPN New York the Rangers recalled Chad Johnson from the Whale to serve as the backup tonight.
