Before last night's Bruins-Rangers match, I wrote how I was hoping to see the power play light the lamp for the first time this season. 1:05 into the second period, they did just that with a Brad Marchand goal. Nice to see, but the fact remains after last night's game the power play unit is now 1-14 on the year (1-5 on last night's game). If this team is going to contend, they need to improve on the power play, plain and simple. In other news, B's defenseman Dennis Seidenberg remains sidelined with a lower body injury. It does not appear to be serious, and he hopes to be play Friday against the Islanders. Aaron Johnson has stepped in for Seidenberg, who has been a key defenseman for the team in the past few years. His return will certainly help strengthen the Bruin's defensive play, which has been bolstered by the emergence of Dougie Hamilton. @LiamPCunningham
