Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Brandon Dubinsky (lower body) was not on the ice for today's optional practice, but was seen  slowly getting around the Rangers' practice facility on crutches....in previous years, the possibility of losing Dubinsky long term would be a scary thought, but, to be honest, I don't think it would have that negative an affect on this team. Very similar to the Mets losing Jason Bay and Mike Pelfry to injury.In some positive injury news Bran Boyle was on the ice today and is recovering nicely from his concussion..."I feel better each day but I don't know what's going to happen," Boyle said. "There have been no setbacks, it's progressed. But it's not consistent with each guy, there are different symptoms. I'm trying to be honest with myself."...concussions are always tricky, so I'm not ready to pencil Boyle back in the line-up yet, but if he does return tomorrow night it would be a huge li...

McIlrath joins Connecticut on ATO

As expected, Dylan McIlrath (1st-2010) will be joining the Connecticut Whale for their playoff push on an ATO. Whale’s Moose Jaw Warriors were eliminated from the WHL playoffs over the weekend by fellow Rangers’ prospect Michael St. Croix and the Edmonton Oil Kings. McIlrath played with the Whale on an ATO last season as well. In two games, he finished with seven PIMs and a -1 rating.
