Earlier in the season when the Predators were on a slide, the team said it was mostly because it didn't have some of its more experienced players, such as Mike Fisher, Martin Erat and Francis Bouillon. All of those players are healthy but the Predators are once again in a funk, as demonstrated by their 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
Detroit outshot Nashville 37-19 and carried the play for the whole game, and defenseman Ryan Suter said the Red Wings "dominated" the Predators. Nashville has gone four games without a win and has only one point in that span, for its overtime loss to Columbus.
"(We're) just playing soft. We have to get back to playing hard and playing fast and aggressive," Suter said. "That's our style. We win a couple of games and we kind of forget about or identity. We have to get back to our foundation and the style of game we've played forever."
