Scoreboard operators got a bit of a break during the first two meetings between the Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks, and it doesn't appear things will change this time around at the rate they've put pucks in the net recently. The Predators and Sharks have combined for only three non-shootout goals in their first two matchups this season, which may not be much of a surprise given Nashville (43) and San Jose (42) rank near the bottom of the league in goals scored before the shootout. The Predators beat the Sharks 2-1 in a shootout Feb. 2 before a 1-0 home win Feb. 12, which marked the third straight meeting neither team scored more than one goal after San Jose's 2-1 shootout win March 15. Their scoring woes extend beyond meetings with each other, too. Nashville (9-7-5) was shut out in back-to-back games before Monday's 5-4 win ov...

Enough is enough. The Nashville Predators need a roster shake up…

In their last six games, the Nashville Predators have scored seven goals. Five of those having come in one game. In their three contests between February 9 and 12, they scored a mere two. And they tallied just two others in their three games between January 24 and 28. As you can see, this is not just an isolated incident. When your goaltender has a 2.10 goals-against average and...

Sharks GM Doug Wilson wants team to shoot more

Let’s face it. The Sharks stink right now. They went 2-6-4 in February thanks to some pretty atrocious goal-scoring numbers and have fallen completely out of a playoff spot. Something obviously needs to change if this team wants any chance at playing in the postseason. So what needs to change? The coach? Player? Pregame menu? According the Sharks GM Doug Wilson, it’s how the...

Perception Change: No Excuses

By: Miranda Martin It is one of the most prominent staples in the Nashville Predators locker room. It is the very last element found in the locker room before the Nashville Predators hit the ice at Bridgestone Arena, and it has been there for years. Predators beaten by Sharks power play unit

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Dan Boyle and Joe Pavelski got San Jose's struggling power-play unit going with goals that helped the Sharks beat the Nashville Predators 2-1 on Saturday night. The Sharks had converted on just three of their past 62 power-play chances heading into the game, a major reason for a February swoon that featured 10 losses in 12 games. Game 22: Nashville @ San Jose – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images Inexcusable is the word for Nashville’s play against the Anaheim Ducks.
