Nashville Predators coach Barry Trotz of the Nashville Predators coached his 1,000th game Saturday night in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Montreal Predators. Trotz joined current Buffalo Sabres head man Lindy Ruff as well as Al Arbour and Billy Reay as the only coaches to reach 1,000 games with one team. His milestone night was spoiled when Montreal's Max Pacioretty beat Pekka Rinne at 2:31 of the overtime session. Rinne suffered his first loss since being granted a seven-year, $49 million contract extension on Nov. 3. He finished with 23 saves for Nashville, which fell to 5-1-2 in its last eight games.
