Preds dominated by Bruins, lose in shootout

It was a game that the Boston Bruins dominated from start to finish and should have won convincingly. Somehow, the Predators forced the game to a shootout, where they eventually lost to the defending champs, 4-3.Boston, who was all over the Preds in the first period, got on the board first when Patrice Bergeron let go of a nice wrist shot 16 minutes into the game. Bergeron’s goal, which was set up by a nice drop pass from Brad Marchand, came shorthanded as the Preds could not gain any sort of possession on the man advantage.After the Bruins finished the first period with a 16-6 shot advantage, they didn’t let up in the second. The Preds’ puck control early in the second was lazy; somehow the Bruins did not capitalize.
