Nashville takes both of their first back-to-back of the year getting a 4-2 win against the St. Louis Blues in their home opener. Rookie Craig Smith had a 3 point game and Legwand had 2 goals, along with Klein finding the net as well

Special Teams:

Powerplay – 2 for 4, 50%

Penalty Kill – 4 for 5, 80%

Best Play of the Game: 57 seconds after Jason Arnott tied the game for St. Louis, Kevin Klein gets the lead back (and the game winner) for the Predators shooting a wrister past the glove of Jaroslav Halak, giving Nashville a 3-2 lead which they wouldn’t relinquish

Worst Play of the Game: Jordin Tootoo pokes Chris Stewart in front of the net after Pekka Rinne stops a loose puck 6:47 into the second and Stewart absolutely knocks Tootoo off his feet. Not really sure if there was an exchange of words there, but it was a bad penalty for Stewart to take

My Three Stars:
#1: Pekka Rinne – 31 saves, .939Sv%
#2: David Legwand – 4 point game (2g, 2a)
#3: Craig Smith – 3 point game (1g, 2a)

KRISTOPHER’S PREDICTION FOR THE GAME: 2-1 St. Louis
JEREMY’S PREDICTION FOR THE GAME: 4-3 St. Louis (Overtime)

KRISTOPHER’S PREDICTION RECORD: 1-1

JEREMY’S PREDICTION RECORD: 1-1
