NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The NHL has suspended Nashville Predators forward Jordin Tootoo for two games without pay for charging Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller.
The league announced the suspension on Tuesday and said it will cost Tootoo 13,513 in missed salary, which will be donated to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Tootoo charged Miller during the second period in Saturday's game against the Sabres in Nashville. He was assessed a major penalty for charging and game misconduct.
He will miss games Tuesday night against Phoenix and Thursday at Columbus and will be eligible to return Dec. 10 against Anaheim.
