The Nashville Predators on Thursday will embark on a 17 day seven game road trip, which will be their longest of the season. The good news is they will be getting Roman Josi back, a huge piece of their lineup.
According to The Tennessean, Josi, 23, who has been out with a concussion since early October will rejoin the team in Phoenix. He has missed all but two games this year with his ailment and is more than ready to get into the lineup. Josi explained, “Everything is good.” “You start pretty slow with a low heart rate, and it just progresses every day. I’ve skated hard the last couple of days, so I’m feeling good.”
Head coach Barry Trotz says he’s going to “ease” Josi back into the lineup. That may be difficult given the heavy workload Josi had prior to getting hurt. Playing along side Shea Weber last year, he averaged over 23 minutes per game. Its expected he will get a prominent role in the upcoming road trip which looks to be a tough one.
