The Nasvhille Predators picked up right where they left off before the All-Star break, defeating the Minnesota Wild 5-4 on a late comeback, scoring four goals in the third period.

Minnesota jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period with two goals by Dany Heatley, the first with an assist by Nick Johnson and the second, on a power play, assisted by Cullen.

Less that two minutes into the second period, the Wild extended their lead to 3-0, in what was looking like a rout, with a goal by Cal Clutterbuck, assisted by Matt Cullen and Justin Falk.

At the 9:33 mark in the second period, the Predators finally got on the scoreboard with a goal by Matt Halischuk with assists by Kevin Klein and Brandon Yip.

The Wild looked to have put the game away only 16 seconds into the third period, when Kyle Brodziak scored (assists by Nick Johnson and Dany Heatley to push the lead to 4-1. Brandon Yip cut the score to 4-2 with 9:22 gone in the third when he scored his first goal as a Predator, assited by Halischuk and Craig Smith. Yip's goal was ruled a dead puck on the ice, but replay determined that the proper call was a goal.

Within the last five minutes of the game, Nasvhille mounted a furious comeback, with a goal by Patric Hornqvist and two goals by Mike Fisher. Hornqvist scored (assists: Sergei Kostitsyn and Shea Weber) at 16:39 to make the game 4-3, and just 21 seconds later, Mike Fisher tied the game at 4-4 with a goal that was assisted by Colin Wilson and Maritn Erat. Fisher then scored the game winning goal, unassisted, with just 21 seconds in the game, capping off an incredible come-from-behind victory.

Nashville has now won five games in a row and find themselves locked in a battle for playoff positioning with 66 points on the season, three points behind Detroit, who is the only team in the Western Conference with more points than the Predators.

On Thursday the Predaors will be in Philadelphia to face the Flyers, one of the top teams in the eastern conference.
