Preds got scored on by 4 different first round draft picks, including two first overall picks, last night in their matchup against the Oilers, in a game that I like to dub the Devan Dubnyk Sweepstakes.  Nashville allowed a late goal in a closely fought first period, where Preds were the better team, which lead to their eventual demise. Rinne had an uncharacteristically bad performance, allowing 5 goals on 26 shots while the defensive core was more or less absent most of the night.  We follow up tomorrow night with our third back to back night in a seven game stretch. It's unclear who will start between Rinne and Hutton, but Rinne hasn't been super awesome in the last two games and could probably use a rest more than anything.  Some talking points 1- Stalberg was a healthy scratch and Eaves was back in the lineup. Stalberg hasn't really been present in the last few games. I mean physically he has been there, but only just.  2- Bourque scored is sixth goal of the season and his first goal since December 12th. He has a nine point month in November but has been library quiet since then.  3 - Preds still remain the only team in the NHL to have not conceded a short handed goal! But came somewhat close to ending last night as Edmonton scored 18 seconds after the conclusion of a Preds powerplay. That's actually an impressive stat line as only one team has 1 SHGA (COL) and only one team has 2 SHGA (VAN). All other teams are 3 shorthanded goals against or more. The leader? Edmonton, with 11 (!) Shortanded goals against.  4 - Rinne was pulled with 10 minutes remaining in the game, after allowing a 5th goal.  5 - Seeing Legwand on the Preds ESPN team page as our assist leader while wearing a red Wings jersey is actually super depressing.  6 - Playing legitimate offensive prospect Colton Sissons alongside Gaustad and Rich Clune is a terrible idea. Bring Nystrom down to that line and have a true grinding line while giving Sissons some teammates to play with. I know Nystrom has been decent offensively but the chemistry doesn't make any sense.  Scoring Summary     G Per Time Str Team Goal Scorer Assist Assist NSH on Ice EDM on Ice 1 1 19:25 EV EDM 89 S.GAGNER(8) 85 M.MARINCIN(3) 57 D.PERRON(24) 3, 4, 15, 28, 35,84 2, 4, 35, 57, 85, 89 2 2 8:18 PP EDM 93 R.NUGENT-HOPKINS(16) 14 J.EBERLE(30) 36 P.LARSEN(6) 3, 17, 28, 35, 42 14, 28, 35, 36, 51,93 3 2 14:48 EV EDM 4 T.HALL(23) 89 S.GAGNER(25) 21 A.FERENCE(14) 4, 5, 7, 13, 16, 35 4, 5, 19, 35, 57, 89 4 2 18:39 EV NSH 57 G.BOURQUE(6) 27 P.HORNQVIST(22) 6 S.WEBER(28) 6, 7, 27, 35, 57,59 4, 19, 21, 35, 57, 89 5 3 8:38 EV EDM 14 J.EBERLE(22) 51 A.LANDER(1) 93 R.NUGENT-HOPKINS(30) 3, 5, 13, 17, 35,42 14, 28, 35, 36, 51,93 6 3 10:01 EV EDM 14 J.EBERLE(23) 93 R.NUGENT-HOPKINS(31)   4, 5, 12, 27, 33,35 14, 19, 35, 36, 51,93   ST.
