Our normal Milwaukee Admirals writer, Jason Bohn, has the night off. However, that doesn't stop Fang Faction from providing Admirals fans with news.  The Milwaukee Admirals couldn't capitalize on the numerous shots they put on Lake Erie Monster goalie Calvin Pickard, younger brother of ex-Admiral goalie Chet Pickard and earned the first star of the game. Milwaukee totaled 43 shots, while Lake Erie totaled only 19. The third period was where the Admirals were really putting it on, as they outshot the Monsters 15-1.  Michael Latta scored the lone goal for the Admirals off a Mike Moore shot from the blue line. Latta was all over the place throughout the game as just before he scored, he dropped the gloves with Brad Malone and went back to the penalty box in the 3rd period for hooking. Read the Press Release for the full game recap from the Admirals after the jump.     MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Admirals fired a season high 43 shots on net, but could only get one by Lake Erie goalie Calvin Pickard as the Monsters toppe the Ads 2-1 on Friday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.   The Admirals outshot the Monsters 43-19 overall and 15-1 in the third period, but Pickard, the brother of former Ads netminder Chet Pickard, withstood the attack. However, for the first time all season it was the Admirals who got on the board first, as Michael Latta got his first tally of the season on the power-play 12:24 of the opening stanza. Latta jumped on a loose puck right in front of the crease and jammed it by Pickard. Unfortunately for Milwaukee, it was all they would get for the whole game.   Lake Erie evened the score with just 47 seconds left in the first as they also scored the power-play as Bryan Lang got his team-leading sixth of the year. The Monsters got the game-winner in the second on an impressive display of hand-eye coordination by Luke Walker. With the Ads on the man-advantage, Lake Erie managed to get possession of the puck in the Milwaukee zone and Paul Carey got off a shot that was deflected off an Admiral and went to Walker, who batted it out of mid-air and past Ads netminder Jeremy Smith.
