The following is a press release from the Predators...Nashville, Tenn. (December 3, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Mueller (KRIHS MEW-luhr) from Milwaukee (AHL).Mueller, 25 (3/6/86), leads the Admirals in points (9g-8a-17pts) and is tied for the team lead in points through 19 games in 2011-12. The West Seneca, N.Y., native is also tied for 14th in the AHL in power-play goals (4). A season ago, the 5-11, 203-pound forward appeared in his first 15 NHL contests with Nashville, registering three assists. Signed as a free agent on Dec. 27, 2010, Mueller posted 104 points (42g-62a) in 166 games (missing just four contests total) with Michigan State University from 2004-08, and helped the Spartans win the 2007 NCAA National Championship, ranking fifth in points (3g-2a) during the NCAA Tournament.

Teemu Laakso cleared waivers and was assigned to Milwaukee on Friday. He wasted no time in seeing game action in the Admirals' 5-1 victory over the Peoria Rivermen.Laakso picked up an assist and was plus one for the evening. At 15:54 of the second period, Jordin Tootoo barreled into Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller, and eleven players were involved in an ensuing scrum. A LOOK BACK.......
Talk about a crazy, batty night in the NHL last night. If anyone believed that Vancouver and Nashville would combine for 11 goals, I would have thought they were nuts. However the funny thing was I saw the over being hit in this game. Both goalies were pulled, and really every odd man rush on both sides...
The Nashville Predators are back in the Music City and will take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
