The NHL fined Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban $2,500 for what the league called a ''dangerous trip'' on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz.
Subban was punished Saturday for tripping Kunitz on Friday night 17:21 into the third period of Pittsburgh's 5-4 shootout win. No penalty was assessed on the play.

The Montreal Canadiens lost again last night. That's not really anything too surprising given their play of late.
But what makes this win more painful was the 4-2 lead the Habs held to start the third period. And this despite being outshot 22-18 through two periods.
