As the Philadelphia Flyers entered the stretch run, I wrote that one of the biggest issues facing head coach Craig Berube was how to use Vincent Lecavalier. The Flyers enter the summer with a new general manager, Ron Hextall. Now Hextall’s biggest task will be figuring out where-or if-Lecavalier fits.
To say that Lecavalier’s first season in Philadelphia was a disappointment would be a massive understatement. He struggled with injuries, had troubles finding consistency and really wasn’t a good fit for the system that Berube installed after replacing Peter Laviolette three games into the season.
