-Anssi Salmela will make his return tomorrow night when the Devils host the Coyotes.

My take: Good! I like this. Salmela can skate, is not afraid to jump in the play and take risks, has a great shot, and adds some desperately needed offense to the defensive corps.

-Correne and Vasyunov have been sent down to Albany.

My take: Corrente was not playing well and is not being replaced by Salmela. I am okay with this move.  I don’t understand the banishment of Vasyunov. He was playing well with Zubrus and Kovalchuk. That line got broken up for some crazy reason and now he’s been sent down.

-Tim Sestito has been recalled.

My take: WHY GOD WHY!? On a team that cannot even squeeze out two goals most of the time, they call up a defensive fourth line center when players such as Nick Palmieri, Vladimir Zharkov, Alex Vasynov, and Patrick Davis could at least help add some offense.

-Jamie Langenbrunner will play tomomrrow.

My take: Why isn’t he traded? Why is JMac still coaching?

I don’t understand any of these moves anymore. The unfortunate thing Devil fans is that it appears the team and management have packed it in for this season. If they thought there was still some hope, they would have made a move weeks ago to right the ship.

-There have been three or four giveaways and contests I have noticed in order to fill the seats tomorrow night. Also, tickets are going for 3$ on Stubhub. I think this may be the worst crowd we’ve seen in a long time. I’m guessing around 8,000 people.
