Iced Out Hockey:
Kings goalie Jonathan Quick
It looks like the end is nigh for the New Jersey Devils. After suffering a brutal 4-0 loss at L.A. last night they are now down 3-0 in the series. A poor power play combined with the outstanding play of Kings goalie Jonathan Quick doomed the Devils last night. New Jersey was 0-6 on the power play which included a minute long 5-on-3 in the first period.
Quick has been nearly unstoppable as he recorded 22 saves last night in his third shutout this postseason. He now boasts a GAA below 1 in this series. L.A. collected goals from Anze Kopitar and Alec Martinez in the second as well as two on the power play in the third from Jeff Carter and Justin Williams. The Kings have a chance to win the Cup, which would be their first in team history, in front of their home crowd Wednesday night.

It hasn’t been a good week for the local news people. Earlier this week, some poor lady thought game four in the Heat-Celtics series ended in a tie. Another Los Angeles news woman had an issue reporting on the Los Angeles Kings 4-0 win against the New Jersey Devils in game three of the Stanley Cup Finals. A Los Angeles news anchor, let me repeat…a Los Angeles news anchor called...

We get it. That Jonathan Quick fellow is rather good at this game.
He’s kept the Devils to just two goals in three full contests, and is as big a reason as any the Kings are one game away from hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup.
But this New Jersey squad is not one starved for offensive firepower, especially with the man advantage. However, their inability to cash in on the power...
Darryl Sutter rushed the Los Angeles Kings out of their locker room in Newark on Saturday night as if they were fleeing the scene of a crime.
The Kings coach was just in a hurry to get home, and that's what his club did: On the plane by midnight, wheels up by 1 a.m. Eastern time, and in their beds back on the West Coast shortly after 4 a.m. Pacific.
''Hey, every minute...
A fan outside Staples Center on Monday seemed to capsulize the plight of Kings fans. Above the number on the back of his Kings jersey, instead of his name, were the words love and hate.
Kings fans have a moment they can simply love. After 45 years, three owners, two lockouts, one bankruptcy and countless promises, the Kings are poised to deliver.
With a victory tonight over the...
Do you see random sh$% while driving to work and think it needs to be seen by the masses? Does the guy who sits next to you at work look like a tool on a daily basis? While Jonathan Quick stars in the Stanley Cup playoffs for the Los Angeles Kings, Jonathan Bernier cools his heels as his seldom-seen back-up.Once upon a time Bernier was slated to become LA’s goaltender of the future. But Quick had other ideas. When he matured into one of the NHL’s elite netminders this season, Bernier was limited to 16 appearances.Once the postseason ends,...
Are local media stations in Los Angeles suddenly in on the joke? It seems like after each game the Kings play a different station uses an incorrect logo, team name or butchers a key player's name.
The media coverage after LA's big Game 3 victory provided yet another gem as the Fox station in Los Angeles incorrectly called Jonathan Quick by...
