We had some technical difficulties with the blog last night, so we were unable to post a recap right after the game. Artem Anisimov was the star of last night’s game, even if he didn’t get the Broadway hat. Here are your truncated bullets:
Anisimov forced the turnover on the first goal, forced another turnover and got the puck to the net on the second goal, and made a simple little behind the back dump off the boards (perfectly to Derek Stepan) for the third goal. He made all three goals happen.
That said, Stepan and Marian Gaborik sure do have some chemistry. But Anisimov is the one doing all the dirty work. Let’s hope he doesn’t get left behind in the credit that the line deserves.
Henrik Lundqvist made some great saves last night, as per usual. It is without a doubt that the Rangers have one of the best goaltending duos in the league at the moment. That is helped when Lundqvist is the best goalie in the league.
No idea how Hank is that good playing that d...

Time for Dubious Dubinsky to Break Out of Slump
Over the summer the New York Rangers re-signed 25-year-old forward Brandon Dubinsky to a new contract that would pay him $16.8 million over the next four years. At the time, Dubinsky was coming off a career season in which he led the entire Blueshirt squad in scoring with 24 goals and 54 points. In fourteen games so far this season, however, Dubinsky's production has been subpar...

Gaborik leading way for streaking Rangers
Marian Gaborik and the New York Rangers have legged out a five game win streak after a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday. The Rangers (8-3-3) are finally playing up to expectations after a long road trip to start the season left them handicapped as Madison Square Garden continued its now infamous transformation project. Clearly Gaborik is the offensive leader of...

Who’s Line Is It Anyway? Rangers @ Senators Post Game Thoughts…
When the Rangers played the Sens last time they had some very different looking lines. This time they matched up with the Sens with a red hot trio of Artem Anisimov, Derek Stepan, and Marian Gaborik leading the way. And did they ever lead the way. Gaborik with 2 goals, Stepan with a goal and 2 assists, Anisimov with 2 assists, and probably should have gotten credit for a 3rd since...

Avery Proves Worth With Fight
Before last night's game Zenon Konopka, or whatever his name is, was running his mouth about the Wojtek Wolski hit on Daniel Alfredsson and how there was going to be bad blood on the ice.Well, on his first shift of the game Sean Avery went right over to Konopka and let him know what he thought about those comments. Konopka was not heard from the rest of the game. Minus when he...

The New York Rangers face the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Place tonight in Ottawa. The meeting marks the first time these two teams will have gotten together since Ranger forward, Woytek Wolski knocked Senator captain Daniel Alfredsson out of the lineup with a shot to the head. Will Derek Stepan and Chris Kreider Be The Doug Weight and Tony Amonte Of This Generation?
Doug Weight and Tony Amonte. How I used to cringe throughout the 90’s whenever I saw them dominating the NHL. Both of them the crown jewels of the New York Rangers prospect list in the early 90’s. Both were college bred American born players and both absolute necessary trade chips towards building the 1994 Stanley [...]
