All-Star Jonathan Quick turned aside 19 shots to share the NHL lead with ninth shutouts as the Los Angeles Kings moved into a tie for seventh place in the Western Conference with a 3-0 road win over the Calgary Flames late Wednesday. Captain Dustin Brown recorded his fifth consecutive 20-goal season and defenseman Willie Mitchell and Justin Williams also tallied for the Kings, who snapped a two-game losing skid and pulled even with San Jose. Quick matched St. Louis All-Star Brian Elliott for the league lead in shutouts after stopping just four shots in the third period. The blanking was the 23rd of Quick's career. Miikka Kiprusoff finished with 27 saves for the Flames, who went 0-for-4 on the power play and fell to 1-3-3 in their last seven contests. Calgary sits three points of out eighth place in the Western Conference with only four games remaining.
