In the first game of their home-and-home series with Colorado, the Nashville Predators picked up a convincing 4-1 victory on Tuesday night. Pekka Rinne made 32 saves, while Martin Erat and Ryan Ellis each tallied two points. With the win the Predators moved back up to sixth in the Western Conference.The Predators couldn’t have asked for a better start. Just 4:31 into the first period, Nick Spaling gave the Preds a 1-0 lead when he one-timed a feed from Jordin Tootoo past Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov. Three minutes later, Ryan Ellis scored on the power play for the second straight game.
