The Senators' 2013 Development Camp has come to a close, so it was only a matter of time before Randy Lee, the team's Director of Player Development and Hockey Operations, was featured in a radio interview on the Team 1200. To listen to the full interview, click here or you can stream it via the embedded audio at the bottom of the page.    As always, my thoughts are in bold.  On the formation of the development camp came about… “Honestly, it was twelve to fifteen years ago. I’m sure it’s at least twelve and that’s the way we did it. We said, ‘We’ve got to get ahead of other teams,’ and Marshall Johnston was the GM back then and he said, ‘Be creative.’ He heard about some other camps that you’d send two or three guys to but he said, ‘How do we do a better job to accommodate more guys?’ And that is what we came up with. It was low budget and it was small, but it worked and we gave a lot of attention to those young guys and that was back in

Condra re-signs for 2 years with Senators

The Ottawa Senators have re-signed Erik Condra to a two-year deal, avoiding arbitration with the restricted free-agent forward. Condra's deal is worth $2.5 million, and he'll count $1.25 million against Ottawa's salary cap. Condra played all 48 games last year for the Senators, providing some consistency during an injury-plagued season. He had four goals and eight assists...

No way - Borowiecki Inks One-way

The Ottawa Senators announced that they have signed 24-year old defenceman Mark Borowiecki to a two-year, one-way contract.   Despite the praise and adulation that the organization has bestowed upon Borowiecki since the moment he turned pro, news that he received a one-way deal could be surprising in the sense that he has only played eight games in the NHL. ...

Vancouver To Host Senators In 2014 Heritage Classic

There have been rumours of this matchup in an outdoor game since at least 2011, and last April during an Insider Trading segment, TSN gave the heads up it was a near certainty to go next season. Travis Yost: Bryan Murray's Getting Good at This

Make sure to follow Travis on Twitter! -- Bryan Murray signed Erik Condra to a two-year, $1.25MM AAV contract extension on Friday afternoon.
