The New York Rangers are still waiting for center Brandon Dubinsky to break out.
Signed to a four-year, $16.8 million extension in the offseason, Dubinsky has yet to score a goal this campaign.
"I’m only human. It’s been tough mentally a little bit not getting those points and to not contribute offensively on a consistent basis," the 25-year-old Dubinsky told the New York Daily News.
"Obviously, I feel the pressure and I understand I have to step up and contribute and be that guy. But I’ve got to continue focusing on the other parts of my game."
Dubinsky, who set up six tallies and has a team-leading 47 penalty minutes this season, collected 24 goals and 30 assists in 77 games in the 2010-11 campaign.
