Leslie Treff at Hockey's Future reports that the Rangers must sign Swedish prospects Jesper Fasth and Oscar Lindberg to professional contracts by June 2012, or they will lose their rights.Treff adds that the Rangers are likely to give Fasth, who recently returned from a major foot injury, a bonus while having him play in Europe for another season, with no assurance that he will play for the Blueshirts in the fall of 2013.Lindberg is expected to play for the CT Whale next season.Meanwhile over in Russia, Treff says that Rangers defensive prospect Mikhail Pashnin, who decided to forego signing an NHL entry-level deal last summer for the KHL, will remain on the Rangers' reserve list indefinitely and is expected to remain in Russia for at least the next season.
