The Rangers Tribune:
The Rangers went ahead and signed depth forward Taylor Pyatt on Tuesday afternoon - a signing that could potentially pay off considering the 30-year-old's size and weight, coupled with his proven offensive ability. That fills a spot in the bottom six for the Blueshirts, but they are still in search for top six forwards who can help boost the team's goal production, especially while Marian Gaborik is out of the lineup to start the season in 2012-13.
While Rick Nash of the Columbus Blue Jackets may be a long-shot at this point with Jackets GM Scott Howson refusing to come down on his asking price, free agent winger Shane Doan of the Phoenix Coyotes may not be. Larry Brooks reported in today's NY Post column that the Rangers do have interest in the veteran forward, and basically received confirmation from Doan's agent as a follow-up to the rumors...
“We haven’t entered into negotiations with any other teams, but Shane wants to be forthright and honest with clubs tha...

Since pretty well, since day one of free agency, Doan has been the best free agent on the market that would suit Vancouver's needs. He would bring grit, size, leadership, and character. He could play in Vancouver's top 6 and give them the...
Via Darren Dreger, the Rangers have agreed to sign winger Taylor Pyatt to a two-year deal worth $1.55 million annually. The 30-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Coyotes, averaging 13-11-24 while playing in at least 73 games each year. Pyatt has also spent time with the Islanders, Sabres, and Canucks. I’ll leave the in-depth analysis up to our resident experts.
After losing out on forward Zach Parise, the Wings could potentially turn to Alexander Semin who is very skilled yet lacks overall intensity. However it doesn’t look as though Semin at this point is Detroit’s first choice as Ken Holland may opt to see what Shane Doan of the Phoenix Coyotes decides to do come July 9th.
That July 9th deadlines seems to be the drop dead date as...
Not exactly a depth signing, per TSN’s Darren Dreger:
Taylor Pyatt also agrees to 2 year deal with the NYR.
2 years…annual average salary of $1.55 for Pyatt with NYR.
Forward Taylor Pyatt has signed a two-year deal with the New York Rangers worth $3.1 million, TSN reported Tuesday. Pyatt, 30, spent the past three seasons with the Coyotes and had nine goals and 10 assists in 73 games for them this past season. He added four goals and two assists in 16 playoff games.
Press Release: New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent forward Taylor Pyatt. Pyatt, 30, skated in 73 games with the Phoenix Coyotes last season, registering nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points, along with 23 penalty minutes. He ranked fourth [...]

From Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants:
The Rangers have agreed to a two-year, $3.1 million deal with veteran left wing Taylor Pyatt, who had nine goals and 10 assists in 73 games for the Coyotes last season.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Pyatt has also played for the Islanders...
Rangers free agency, days 2 and 3, is not any different from day 1. I was thinking of just leaving the blog blank as a statement but what fun would that be. (EDIT: Late news, team signs Taylor Pyatt, formerly of Phoenix to a two-year, $3.1 million deal. Solid third/fourth line player. Had good playoffs. Style-wise fits into how the Rangers play and is big. Provides some depth, replacing...
