Found July 19, 2012 on NY Rangers Blog:
PLAYERS: Shane Doan
TEAMS: Arizona Coyotes
Good friend of the blog Kyle Scott over at Crossing Broad reports that Glen Macnow, of Philadelphia's WIP, is reporting that the Flyers, along with the Rangers and Pengiuns, have made an offer to Shane Doan. Now the problem here is that in the audio Macnow calls Doan a restricted free agent instead of a unrestricted free agent and then WIP sent out this tweet....Glen has reported the Flyers along with the Rangers and Penguins have an offer sheet out to RFA Shane Doan. @SportsRadioWIP— WIP Afternoons (@WIPAfternoons) July 19, 2012 WIP corrected themselves in a later tweet. Here's the audio of Macnow......not sure how confident I am with this report because of all the errors but I thought it was interesting to note....right now word on the street is that the market for Doan is $7.5 million per for four years, which is a joke. Rangers offer better be significantly below that.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at ...

Per Arizona Sports, free agent winger Shane Doan is in New York to meet with Rangers' management and discuss a potential deal to bring him to the team. Possible Landing Places for Shane Doan

Throughout his seventeen-year career, Shane Doan has been looked at as one of the most respectable figures in the game of hockey. Doan has spent his entire career with the Phoenix Coyotes, a lackluster franchise to say the least, but still gives the franchise everything he has every night. Despite no owner, minimal money, and a lack of star power, Doan has led the poor franchise...

Is Shane Doan the right fit in New York?

Photo Credit: canyonero / Flickr In such a tempered market, Shane Doan remains one of the more intriguing commodities remaining. A 16-year veteran and long-time mainstay of the Phoenix Coyotes, Doan is battle-tested and a proven leader. And with a price tag of simply dollars, not assets, it is no surprise that several contenders are trying to woo him away from Arizona. Yesterday...

Rangers trade Casey Wellman to Florida; Shane Doan visiting New York

There are two bits of news today, which is rare for late July. The first is that the Rangers have traded forward Casey Wellman to the Florida Panthers for a fifth round pick in the 2014 draft. Wellman was initially acquired with a conditional seventh round pick from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Erik Christensen. In the end, the Rangers essentially dealt Christensen for two...

Shane Doan, Rick Nash Would Be Great Fits With Bruins, But Prices to Get Them Make Coming to Boston Unlikely

While the early indications from the labor talks weren't especially encouraging with the owners raising fears of another lockout after opening the proceedings with a provocative set of draconian demands, the Bruins continued to put the finishing touches on the roster they hope will take the ice on time this fall. Veteran defensemen Aaron Johnson and Garnet Exelby were added to...
