The list of invitees to New York Rangers training camp this year continues to grow as defensemen Garnet Exelby and Alexei Semenov have been invited on a tryout basis according to Andrew Gross. Semenov attended last September, but if you recall, could not stick with the team through the season because of complications with his wife. I am guessing that situation has changed, eh?And Exelby, age 29, recorded a goal and three assists in 51 games played with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. With all of these additions I am assuming that the defensive position this year for the Bleushirts will be wide open. Wade Redden, without a doubt in my mind, will be sent to Hartford because there is way too much competition for him to stay with the team.
