BY: Bruce Berlet (Special to Howlings) Joe Resnick, the agent for All-Star left wing Rick Nash, denied a report that his client will return to play for HC Davos in the Swiss Elite League if there another NHL lockout. Resnick told TSN that Nash, whom the New York Rangers acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 23, will not play for the European team that Nash and San Jose Sharks standout center Joe Thornton led to the Swiss A League title during the 2004-05 NHL lockout. Nash had 26 goals and 20 assists on the way to the championship. Davos club president Gaudenz Domenigs told Suedostschweiz, a Swiss media outlet, that Nash and Thornton would return to the Grisons upon a lockout. Nash, defenseman Steven Delisle and a conditional third-round pick in 2013 were acquired from the Blue Jackets for former Hartford Wolf Pack/Connecticut Whale players Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, Tim Erixon and a first-round pick next year.
