Rock the Red:
The Washington Capitals pulled off another unlikely victory on Sunday, defeating the big, bad, Boston Bruins inside TD Garden by a final score of 4-3. Alexander Semin, Jay Beagle, Brooks Laich, and Matt Hendricks all scored against the Bruins, who gave up four goals at home for the first time January 7th. Tomas Vokoun was stellar in net, making 30 saves for the Caps, who are now only one point out of third in the Southeast Division and two points up on the Jets for the final playoff spot in the East win one game in hand.
Washington started the game strong, setting up a strong forecheck and getting some shots on Tim Thomas within the first two minutes. After that initial flurry, though, the Bruins began to press down on the gas pedal, taking control of the game and getting good scoring chances that required Tomas Vokoun to make some great saves. But it was the Caps who struck first, taking advantage of a rush up ice when Alexander Semin potted a rebound after eight minutes. 2...

BOSTON -- It may be one of the mildest winters in Boston's recent history, but the Bruins are far from hot. After bagging their first consecutive win in almost two months, the B's came out slow on Saturday afternoon and dropped a tough one to the Capitals 4-3. While the Bruins seem to be cold, one unlikely forward continues to heat up. Jordan Caron now has at least a point...
Milan Lucic is no stranger to dropping the mitts, which is one of the reasons he was recently voted the toughest player in the NHL by his peers. But Lucic was still impressed by Dennis Seidenberg's recent bout with Toronto's Colby Armstrong, during which the German defenseman more than held his own. But that got us wondering which "non-fighter" could be the next...
The Bruins haven't been themselves in afternoon games this season, as their 4-6-2 record entering Saturday shows. While they've been strong at night, for whatever reason, the B's haven't been able to translate early start times into too many points in the standings. NESN Nation's Dan Duquette looked to our Twitter followers for some guesses about why the B'...
On Thursday the Boston Bruins won back-to-back games for the first time in almost a month and a half. It felt good and you can see the team get a nice boost in confidence once Boychuk's blast gave the team the lead. They started playing the grittier type of game that won them the Cup. They were getting into the dirty areas and winning the battles. That's what makes the...
Another week is in the books for the Bruins, and Tyler Seguin provided the Amica Coverage Play of the Week. Seguin tallied two goals against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday, and showed exactly why he's a threat to score every time he touches the puck. Zdeno Chara threw a shot attempt on goal, and Seguin tipped the puck into the back of the net as the Bruins pulled off a 5...

By Kirk R DouglasShawn Thornton let the bomb go from the high slot. Gregory Campbell got a blade on it to direct it past Jonas Enroth and once again the Bruins fourth line lit the spark that ignited the Bruins to an impressive 3-1 win over the surging Buffalo Sabres last night. Whether it is a momentum changing fight, a scrappy goal, or a tenacious fore-check this fourth line...
Before I get all up in this recap's ass like I just took it out to Sonic on a hot date, for those wondering where the title of the recap came from:
