Fans might turn to Chris Bourque for some help sparking the Bruins’ power-play unit this year, and they do so with good reason. After all, it’s Ray Bourque, Chris’ father, who holds the team’s record for most power-play goals scored, with 166. Over the course of an illustrious 21-year career in Boston, the elder Bourque scored 395 goals, with 31 of them coming in the 1983-84 season. That same year, he scored 12 with the man advantage, his second-best total in that category. His career-best 13 power-play goals came in the 1999-2000 season, where the Bruins captain was traded to the Colorado Avalanche midway through the year. Bourque retired with 173 power-play goals to his name, good for 27th all-time.
