The Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Sharp is now a father.
The 30-year-old forward witnessed his wife, Abby, give birth to Madelyn Grace Sharp yesterday at 5:29 p.m. She weighs 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

The Chicago Blackhawks and their fans have become pretty accustomed to goalie controversies over the past couple of seasons.
For the past two seasons, the Blackhawks have had a different goaltender end the season in net than the that started the season. It started with Cristobal Huet and Antti Niemi in 2009-2010 and Marty Turco and Corey Crawford last season.
