This morning, Rick Nash didn’t exactly show much optimism about his future with the only NHL team he’s ever played for. His comments come less than 24 hours after RDS reported that Nash, despite a no-movement clause, is now on the trade market. Those comments/reports aside, should Columbus keep or trade the face of their franchise? There are arguments for both sides.Why the Blue Jackets should keep Nash- Let’s start off by saying Rick Nash is not an elite player. Elite offensive players would overcome their surroundings to post an 80- or 90-point season, something Nash has yet to do. However, Nash is undoubtedly a player you can build a team around. Has Columbus done a good job of doing that over the years?
