Rough loss for the Bruins in what can be looked as one of those "scheduled losses." Playing the Pens on the road on the tail end of back-to-back games twice in one week is awful scheduling by the NHL and just plain ol' tough titties for Boston. It was a hard played game by both sides. Not many mistakes were made but the ones that were cost the Bruins a potential point or two. Julien said he wasn't disappointed with his team's efforts. We wished we saw stronger forechecking, more physical play by all four lines and a bit more sense of urgency against a Pens defense which is suspect at best and without Letang for most of the game. Didn't happen. Pens outworked Boston. Simple as that. Where that's just two lost points the real loss may be that of David Krejci who took a Johnny Rocket right above the kneecap. He was helped off the ice but later seen walking onto the bus.  Good sight: David Krejci walking to B's team bus on own. Was...

David Krejci’s Injury Will Be Latest Test for Bruins Forwards Looking to Hit Their Strides (Video)

The Bruins will be tested on Tuesday night in Winnipeg, and how they respond could reveal much about the team’s character. David Krejci will not be in the lineup against the Jets, after he suffered an injury during the B’s last game in Pittsburgh. Without their top-line center, the Bruins will turn to newcomer Ryan Spooner, who many fans are hoping can step right in and help...

Horton and Krejci lead Boston past Washington, 4-1

Nathan Horton had a goal and two assists, Milan Lucic set up Boston's first two scores on hustle plays behind the net and the Bruins beat the Washington Capitals 4-1 Saturday. David Krejci added a goal and two assists, Rich Peverley had a power-play goal and Andrew Ference scored his first of the season on the eve of his 34th birthday for the Bruins, who avenged a frustrating...

Claude Julien Gives No Update About David Krejci’s Injury Following Loss to Penguins

The Bruins have been lucky when it comes to injuries this season, but that trend seems to be reversing a bit. First, the Bruins lost center Chris Kelly indefinitely with a broken tibia suffered last week. Now the Bruins are hoping center David Krejci avoids joining Kelly. Krejci left Sunday’s loss to the Penguins with an apparent knee or leg injury after he took a Johnny Boychuk...

David Krejci Day-to-Day After Taking Puck to Leg, Claude Julien Says No Bones Were Broken

Bruins fans can exhale, as the club got some good news on the injury front in regards to center David Krejci. B’s coach Claude Julien told reporters Monday that the forward is day-to-day right now with a leg injury after taking a Johnny Boychuk slap shot to the right leg on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh. The puck appeared to hit Krejci just above the knee, and he needed to be...

Ryan Spooner Has Golden Opportunity to Make Impact in David Krejci’s Absence (Video)

Most up-and-coming hockey stars spend their first few NHL games playing limited minutes on the third or fourth line. That’s not the case for Bruins prospect Ryan Spooner, who will start on Boston’s first line tonight in just his second big-league appearance. Spooner, the leading scorer for the B’s affiliate in Providence, will center between Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton on...

Keys To The Game Vs. Winnipeg

The Bruins are heading to middle Canada after a tough loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins beat the Bruins 2-1. But now the Bruins turn towards the Jets who are a very tough team at home. The Bruins are 3-4 in the last 7 games against the Jets in Winnipeg. Winnipeg so far this season is second in the SouthEast with 32 points (15-12-2). Carolina is in first place...

Nathan Horton Leads ‘First-Line Finishers’ As Top Forwards Play Arguably Best, Most Physical Game of Season (Video)

This time, the Bruins didn’t waste a three-goal lead. The first line made sure of that. Nathan Horton, David Krejci and Milan Lucic played arguably their best game of the season Saturday, leading the B’s over Washington in a physical, entertaining game at the TD Garden. Horton recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick during a fight-filled game, but it was the play of the first line as...

Bruising Play, First-Line Resurgence Power Bruins in Rout of Capitals (Video)

The Bruins’ top line of Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Nathan Horton beat up the Capitals on the ice and on the scoreboard Saturday afternoon. Not only did the first line account for Boston’s first two goals in a 4-1 win over Washington, the trio also set the tempo for the rest of the B’s roster with a sense of urgency and physicality that had been absent late in games recently...

Video- Be Careful When Passing In Front Of Your Own Net

David Krejci intended to make a short pass in front of his own net today... instead... Goal credited to Marcus Johansson of the Capitals.

Bruins Win 4-1

Behind goals from Nathan Horton, David Krejci, Andrew Ference and Rich Peverley the Bruins man handled the Washington Capitals. Backup Anton Khudobin recorded 32 saves on 33 shots, with the only goal coming on a David Krejci own goal off the skates of a Bruins defensemen. The Bruins came out to a 2-0 lead off a Nathan Horton slapper, and a David Krejci wrister. The Bruins started...

PREVIEW 28: Bruins vs. Jets -- The Return of Spoonman

The Bruins are in the frigid tundra that is Winnipeg to face the Jets tonight, not that it's warm and sunny here in Boston either. Spring? Never heard of it. Boston will 99.9% most likley go without David Krejci today. He's listed DTD with what we're assuming is just a sweet bruise on his knee. The team yesterday said there's no busted bones so that'...

Bruins’ First Line Finally Breaks Out, But Contributing More Consistently Must Follow

BOSTON — Sometimes in sports, a celebration tells you more than just a bunch of grown men are happy to do have done their jobs. In some cases, it gives you an inside look as to how much pressure those same grown men can be under to do their job. You could certainly sense that on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden when Bruins forwards Nathan Horton and Milan Lucic teamed up for a thunderous...

Bruins Dominate Capitals Behind Lucic, Horton

Nathan Horton celebrates his first-period goal with Dennis Seidenberg – one of Horty’s three points on the day. Whether it was the extremely poor performance Thursday against Florida, the blown lead the last time these two teams met or the fact that the seventh-seeded Capitals knocked the Bruins out of the first round of the playoffs with an overtime win in Game 7 at The Garden...

RECAP: Bruins Play Full 60, Bully Caps All Over the Ice. BRUINS WIN!

About flippin' time. We're more than halfway through the season and we finally get to see the Boston Bruins absolutely bully their way to victory. And holy helly does it feel good. After being on paid leave or something, the "First" line finally looked like the first line for Boston scoring all but one of Boston's goal and combined for nine points...
