Even without all-star Ryan Suter, the Predators are a damn good team. A team with balanced scoring. A hard working team. A team with another superstar defenseman in Shea Weber, and a team with good speed, and an outstanding coach. The Predators are very similar to the New York Rangers…without the budget. That budget, though, did not really help the Rangers at all, as the Rangers got their goal scoring from an undrafted free agent signing, a my garbage for your garbage type trade, and a 4th round draft pick. No huge signings there. Just guys you get through smart scouting, and patience. John Mitchell won’t be winning you many games with his skill, but he’s a good foot soldier. Dan Girardi has risen from nobody to all-star with this organization, and of course you have Ryan Callahan going from a too small to play in the NHL draft pick, to being the captain of an original 6 franchise. Pretty strange the way this game works aye?

Suter may be more important to Preds than Weber…
Shea Weber is the captain of this team and there is nobody in the league (sans a certain Boston Bruins defenseman) with a harder shot. He’s a great all-around player and he leads the Nashville Predators in scoring (32 points). He’s about to become a three time All-Star and he’s a Norris Trophy runner-up.

Suter Still Out With Upper-Body Injury
from Dan Rosen of NHL.com, Nashville defenseman Ryan Suter said Wednesday during a visit to the NHL offices that he will not play Thursday night in Columbus.

Paul McCann: Game Night - Looking for Six
The good news is that the Predators won 3-1. That is where the good news ends as word broke during pregame that Preds All-Star defenseman Ryan Suter was a game-time decision with the ubiquitous âUpper Body Injury.â He made a go of it, playing the first period, but didnât return after the team took a 3-0 lead. He is listed as doubtful for todayâs game against...

* Additionally, they were 17-0-2 when leading after two periods.
* Ryan Suter missed the game with an upper-body injury.
* Seeing as how this is his first absence this season, the Predators...
