With the NHL and NHLPA still at an impasse over a new collective bargaining agreement, the league cancelled the first two weeks of the regular season through October 24th.
For the Red Wings, this means that their October 12th opener against Nashville from the Joe is gone. These cancellations also include Detroit’s first six games including a home game against Vancouver on October 23rd and road games in Buffalo on October 16th, St. Louis on October 18th, Chicago on October 20th and Columbus on October 23rd.
For individuals who have season tickets there are two refund options that were announced by the team (via Detroit News)
— If season-ticket holders want to keep money in their account until hockey resumes:
For canceled and non-rescheduled games, the season-ticket holder will receive an additional three-percent rebate on money paid per ticket, plus any parking passes or CC Olympia Club memberships purchased.
