Found June 20, 2012 on The Majors Detroit:
With Jaromir Jagr set to become a free agent on July 1st, it’s still anticipated that he will end up re-signing with the Philadelphia Flyers. However if he doesn’t, the market for Jagr despite his age should still be pretty good… but could the Red Wings be at the front of the line for his services? A year removed from the pursuit of Jagr last season,’s Ansar Khan believes the Wings could take another shot at the veteran forward if they can’t obtain highly sought after Zach Parise. “… The Red Wings made him an offer last summer (one year for $2.25 million) and weren’t willing to budge from it. It appeared he might return to Pittsburgh, but he took a better offer from the Flyers … Offering him slightly more than anyone else, on a one-year deal, might do it (this year) …” Still if the Wings don’t end up signing Parise it would be hard to imagine them going after Jagr over lets say an Alexander Semin. I’m also hesitant to believe that Jagr is the best option beyond that

Jaromir Jagr an Intriguing Option in Free Agency, But Doesn't Appear to Be Right Fit for Bruins

Jaromir Jagr enjoyed his first season in Philadelphia, but not enough to prevent him from checking out what other opportunities may be available to him next year. Jagr appears set to test the free agent market on July 1, as was first reported by TSN's Darren Dreger on Monday. Despite his age, the 40-year-old veteran will attract plenty of interest with precious few proven scorers...

Red Wings morning quickies: on Jagr and the draft

The Red Wings’ unsuccessful courtship of one Jaromir Jagr definitely turned me off regarding the massive ego and mercurial tendencies of a player who’s turned into something of a diva—even at 40 years of age—but just in case Jagr tests the free agent market and decides to, say, not stay with Philadelphia, or decides not to fulfill a stated dream of playing for the Montreal...

Why Signing Jaromir Jagr Is A Terrible Idea

So if you haven't read Matt Kalman's post over at yet, do so before venturing on. A lot of what I'm going to say is going to be a reflection of that piece. Now, don't get this misconstrued in any way. Days of Y'Orr loves Kalman. We love his snarky attitude on Twitter and we think he's a damn good writer, but we don't agree that Jagr would...

NHL Rumors: Flyers Jaromir Jagr Testing Free Agency

About this time last year, Jaromir Jagr was rocking the hockey world with the news that he planned to return to the NHL after playing in Russia since 2008. When he did, after a protracted back-and-forth that had people on Twitter calling it #JagrWatch, he signed with the Philadelphia Flyers instead of the team he memorably won two Stanley Cups with, the cross-state rival Pittsburgh...
