Redden Talks What Went Wrong in New York
Wade Redden recently sat down with Dave Cunning at Backhand Shelf after signing a contract with the St. Louis Blues marking his return to the NHL and discussed what went wrong with the Rangers...
“I went in there on a big contract. I think maybe making that money there and being the player I am… I felt like the first little while, things were going pretty good, and then they...
Kent Huskins - A Poorly Researched Scouting Report
So Detroit’s new D man is Kent Huskins. If you’re like me, you’ve heard of Kent Huskins but couldn’t tell you which sport he even played let alone a fair scouting report on the fellow. If I was a respectable NHL reporter, I’d find out what a NHL scout has to say about him and analyize his statitics before writing a scouting report on him. However, since...
Blues ride Halak's second shutout of season
ST. LOUIS -- Jaroslav Halak posted his second shutout of the young season for the Blues on Thursday night -- and he did not have to work very hard to get it. The St. Louis defense limited Nashville to 13 shots on goal and Patrik Berglund scored on a penalty shot and assisted on a power-play goal by T.J. Oshie to lead the Blues to a 3-0 victory over the Predators. "We'...
Blues rookie Tarasenko continues to impress
ST. LOUIS - So much for Russian Vladimir Tarasenko needing time to adjust to the NHL game. Turns out the rest of the league better start adjusting to him.
The rookie sensation scored his fourth goal in four games to start the season to help the St. Louis Blues to a 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators at Scottrade Center Thursday night.
Tarasenko arrived as one of the most-hyped...
Chip McCleary: 1/24, Blues vs. Predators - Recap: The Redden Show Begins
My 3 stars of the game:
1. T.J. Oshie, STL. Another power play goal, more sick moves with the puck, ⦠just a great game from him.
2. Patrik Berglund, STL. Asserted himself both offensively and defensively, and showed some feistiness after the whistle a couple times. His best game of the season so far. Oh yeah, something about a goal and an assist - but that's not...
Predators shutout on road by Blues

The Blues have won three of four this season, including a 4-3 shootout win in Nashville on Monday.
Vladimir Tarasenko and T.J. Oshie also scored for St. Louis, which has at least one point...

Blues take on Predators a second time in four days
(AP) -- The NHL's 48-game lockout-shortened schedule will make teams plenty familiar with each other by the time the playoffs roll around in just a few months.
The St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators are getting a taste of that early.

Blues Hammer Predators 3-0 in St. Louis: A Game of Checkers

All it would take is the goal tallied by T.J. Oshie on the PP in the first period to win the game for the St. Louis Blues at ScottTrade Center. They would go on to score on a penalty shot and another Tarasenko goal to ice the game with a marker in each period of play.
St. Louis has been possibly the toughest team for anyone to play so far in...

Game 4: Nashville @ St. Louis – Gateway to the Western Road Trip

Only three days for the Predators to once again match up with the St. Louis Blues. After dropping the second home game of the season against the Blues in a shootout 4-3, the Predators were able to go to Minnesota on Tuesday and win in regulation 3-1. The Blues took their 2-0 start to the season and lost their first game of the year to Chicago...
Could the Rangers’ start prompt a search for blueline help?
(AP Photo/Frank Franklin II)
The irony of the Rangers unimpressive start is that this team could really benefit from Wade Redden on the bottom pair. His passing ability and experience would have been a boost to the bottom pair. Clearly though, that was never going to happen, and all jokes aside two bad losses doesn’t mean a general manager should blow up his roster and beg for...
