Andrew Gross is reporting on twitter that the New York Rangers will be placing defenseman Wade Redden on waivers at noon today. Redden, who spent two whole seasons with the Rangers, is expected to clear and will then be assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack where his $6.5 million cap hit will be buried until further notice. Redden was expected to play in tonight's preseason game against the New Jersey Devils.More to come......
