It seems that America East fans are starting to get annoyed. While us UAlbany fans tend to go after refs more then most people, you do have to take a step back and start questioning some calls this year. It seems MsGDG from Big Purple Fans has made a video from last nights UMBC/UAlbany game showing missed calls by the refs.
Like I said, us UA fans like to go after refs more then anyone. Heck, if you don't remember, our ex-head coach and legend Doc Sauers worked for the conference in relation to measuring calls. However, I think all AE fans can say that there are issues with some of the refs in the league. I have watched multiple games this year and read multiple posts of message boards in which fans have shown displeasure with those who calls games for the conference. I personally know MsGDG, and she is not one to yell and scream unless it is nescessary.
Is it a major issue in the conference? I don't think so. However, fans in a mid-major conference, looking to gain respect nationally, are looking for perfection and the best from lose on the court and those calling the game on the court. Maybe, in the end, it is just us fans asking for to much?
