Ottawa Senators center Peter Regin may have played his last minute of the NHL season. Regin began experiencing stiffness in his surgically repaired left shoulder during Tuesday's game. He is exploring his options - with season-ending surgery being one of them, the Ottawa Sun reported. The 25-year-old Regin has been officially ruled out of Friday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. Regin has collected two goals, two assists and two penalty minutes in 10 games this season.

Regin’s Season in Jeopardy? With a looming decision on whether or not to proceed with more rehab or corrective shoulder surgery (it would be his second procedure since March), should Peter Regin choose the latter, he could potentially miss the remainder of the 2011-12 season. One can definitely understand why Regin would be apprehensive about missing any prolonged period of...

Travis Yost: Craig Anderson Steals a Point in Carolina

Make sure to follow Travis on Twitter and Facebook! -- To call the effort and energy levels put forth by Ottawa on Friday night 'lackluster' is to err on the conservative side, but thanks in large part to the brilliant play of goaltender Craig Anderson, they managed to steal a point in Raleigh in a 2-1 OT loss. If there's one thing the Ottawa Senators haven't...

The Ottawa Senators and goaltending

Whenever the Hurricanes play the Senators, all I can think of is how Ottawa has never learned their lesson with goaltenders. Ever since the lockout, they have gone through six different starting goalies and have spent a total of approximately...
