TEAMS: Carolina Hurricanes, Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers
We have heard it all week that many NHL teams are interested in the services of Hurricanes forward Tuomo Ruutu. A month away and speculation is that he could land in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, New York Rangers, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, and San Jose. To be fair, I have also heard rumors that Ruutu could land in Toronto as Brian Burke has placed a phone call seeking information on Ruutu as well. It is all rumors at this point. Carolina Hurricanes vs. New York Islanders 1/31/12 Scoring Chances
Seeing how this was the first game that both teams played in about a week, it was expected that we would get a sloppy game last night and that's certainly what happened. Most of the game was a neutral zone struggle, there were tons of great chances that were fanned on and the defensive play was very loose. It did lead to some entertaining saves by Cam Ward and Kevin Poulin, though...
