A week after Brad Richards set straight a struggling Derek Stepan by advising him to not overthink and just play, Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that Richards has now begun mentoring Michael Del Zotto on and off the ice..."I think it grew together before I approached both players," John Tortorella said. "I have so much respect for Brad Richards, knowing what it's like to be a pro, that's what he can bring. It doesn't even have to be about hockey."...i've been very impressed with Richards on the ice, but his mentoring of the young guys off the ice may be what ultimately changes my tune about his signing.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.

Rangers' Kreider Continues Domination For Boston College
Last summer there was a push amongst many to have Chris
Kreider (2009 1st round pick) turn pro even though he had a subpar season at
Boston College. The idea behind it was
that you get him in the professional ranks with the New York Rangers and let
them take over his development. Part of
the theory for some was that Kreider seemed bored with college hockey and was
not...
Photo: Michael Del Zotto Rockin’ The Broadway Hat
… well deserved for MDZ who has been playing his butt off as of late. Getting back on defense and not staying up in the o-zone rush is what catches my eye more lately than ever when it comes to Del Zotto’s game. Now if we can get him to stop passing the puck so [...]

The First Place Team
Before the season began would anyone have guessed that the Dallas Stars would be in first place in the NHL on November 8th? They have a 10-3 record. They are the only team in the league with ten wins. They have a .769 point percentage, which leads the NHL.
