Someone tell me why Ovechkin would even discuss this outside of the dressing room? from Stephen Whyno of the Washington Times, Alex Ovechkin, who has zero goals in his past three games since recording a hat trick, wants to puck and he wants it in the neutral zone. Even more so, he’s asked center Mike Ribeiro for it. “Of course I want more pucks on my stick, especially in neutral zone,” the Washington Capitals captain said Monday. “I talk to Ribs all the time about it like if I have speed, just give it to me. It doesn’t matter if I’m going to stay with the D because I’m going to beat them.” Ovechkin has played on a line with Ribeiro for the past 13 games, over a month now. The two have developed chemistry, even if Ovechkin has just eight goals this season. Asked about Ovechkin wanting the puck to carry into the offensive zone, Ribeiro said it’s dependent on break-outs. continued

Alexander Ovechkin’s Twitter Account Proving as Quiet as Forward’s Scoring So Far This Year (Video)

Alexander Ovechkin has been quiet from a goal-scoring standpoint this season, but he hasn’t stopped there. No, the Capitals forward has also extended that radio silence of sorts to the Internet, where his Twitter account has laid dormant for quite some time. NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette picked through Ovi’s online leftovers and found what looks like it should be a lot of fun...

Mike Milbury Ripping Alex Ovechkin (Video)

Courtesy of Massholesports, I actually remember watching this live last weekend laughing that Mike Milbury was actually ripping Ovechkin. Funny thing is Ovechkin will continue doing it, he's a spoiled brat who is extremely gifted, but still acts like a little kid.  I hope the Bruins stick it to the Caps tonight.

Capitals 4, Bruins 3, OT

Eric Fehr scored 37 seconds into overtime Tuesday night, and the Washington Capitals rallied from a three-goal, first-period deficit to beat the Boston Bruins 4-3 in a thriller reminiscent of the teams' seven-game playoff series a year ago. Pinched by two defenders, Fehr was falling forward as he got off the shot that hit the upper right post and went in, giving the Capitals...

Bruins Let Three-Goal Lead Slip Away in ‘D.C. Disaster’ Against Capitals (Video)

There are moral victories, there are actual victories and then there’s what happened on Tuesday night, which was neither. The Bruins let a three-goal lead slip away against the Capitals, losing 4-3 in overtime at the Verizon Center. On the heels of a tough loss to the Canadiens, this was a decidedly bad loss — and the spectacular nature of the winning goal doesn’t do much to...

Bruins-Capitals Live: B’s Go to Washington for Playoff Rematch With Caps

12 p.m. ET: The Bruins had high hopes for the 2011-12 season after winning the Stanley Cup a season prior. The B’s get their first chance to exact a little bit of revenge on Tuesday night when they had to the nation’s capital to take on the Caps. It’s the first meeting...
