(Frederick Breedon/Getty Images)   In front of a sold out crowd at Bridgestone Arena, the Nashville Predators and Pekka Rinne shutout the Los Angeles Kings, 3-0. "It wasn't pretty, but we got the win," said head coach Barry Trotz. Rinne, who received the number one star of the game, turned away all 32 shots that came his way. “I was seeing the puck well,” said Rinne. “It was one of those games where they had to shoot the puck, most of them came from the outside. Even though they shot a lot, it was a fairly easy game for myself.”  The Predators extended their winning streak to four games Thursday night. This is a hot team right now, and not too many teams can stop them with a great goaltender and with the players taking advantage of their scoring chances.   After a seven game road trip, the Predators and their fans were looking forward to Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Kings. It didn’t take long for the fans to get into it a...

Shea Weber's production expected to increase

If last season is any predictor, then Shea Weber is due on Thursday when the Nashville Predators host the Los Angeles Kings. A finalist for the Norris Trophy as the NHLs top defenseman in each of the last two seasons (and signatory to -- oh, by the way -- a 14-year, 110-million contract last July), Weber has failed to earn a point in any of the Predators first nine games -- by far...
