Rob Schremp’s stay on Long Island is over, as he was claimed on waivers by the Atlanta Thrashers on Monday.
Schremp was a first round pick in 2004 by the Edmonton Oilers, but so far has not produced at the level teams had hoped for.
This year Schremp has 10 goals and 12 assists but is minus 19.
While Schremp was a great guy and many fans are sad to see him go, he probably would not have been able to fit on the roster next season with Nino Niederreiter coming up.
