Ruegsegger, 23, joins the Sound Tigers after amassing 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 22 games with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL this season. The Lakewood, CO native made his professional debut last season splitting time with Alaska and Utah of the ECHL, combining for 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 58 regular season games. Ruegsegger turned pro last season after the conclusion of his collegiate career at the University of Denver where he played alongside current Sound Tigers Rhett Rakhshani and Matt Donovan. A sixth round (166th overall) pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
