If the rumors are true and Jeff Carter truly has asked for a trade, the Avalanche should definitely jump in.
With a stretch in the last ten of 2-7-1 the Avs could use a jolt and Jeff Carter could truly be a kick in the pants to the Avs. He's a bigger center who has a great shot, can run a powerplay and will score. All he needs is someone to get him the puck.
