Thomas Vanek had two goals and an assist, and Drew Stafford and Tyler Ennis both added a goal and assist of their own to help lift the Buffalo Sabres to a 5-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night.
Andrej Sekera also scored and Ryan Miller made 29 saves for the Sabres (16-12-3), who won for the third time in six games.
Down by a goal midway through the second period, Buffalo scored three straight times -- including two power-play goals -- to take a 4-2 lead. Toronto committed five penalties in the second and over the final 7:03 of the period the teams played 5-on-5 for just six seconds.
Nikolai Kulemin scored on a penalty shot in the third period, and Dion Phaneuf, Joffrey Lupul and Mikhail Grabovski also scored for Toronto (16-12-3), which has now dropped three of four (1-2-1).
