Former Calder Trophy winner Tyler Myers will watch Monday's game between his Buffalo Sabres and the Montreal Canadiens from the bench.The third-year defenseman is being made a healthy scratch for the first time in his career after beginning the season in a dreadful slump. The 21-year-old has been one of the few weak links on an otherwise strong Buffalo team, registering four assists and a minus-three rating in 16 games.Myers is coming off back-to-back double-digit goal totals, including an 11-goal, 48-point performance that earned him rookie-of-the-year honors in 2010.Mike Weber will get the start in Myers' place.
