Buffalo Sabres defenseman Mike Weber is out indefinitely after sustaining what the team's calling an upper body injury.
Coach Lindy Ruff provided the update on Thursday, a day after Weber was hurt in a 5-3 loss to New Jersey. It was only Weber's third game after spending much of the season as a healthy scratch.
With Weber out, the Sabres called up defenseman T.J. Brennan from the minors. Buffalo's 2007 second-round draft pick, Brennan has an opportunity to make his NHL debut on Friday, when the Sabres travel to play Carolina. He has two goals and six points in 16 games with AHL Rochester this season.

Sabres, Enroth No Match For Brodeur
Recap:
Martin brodeur reminded everyone in Buffalo why he'll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer following his retirement.
Throughout his storied career, Brodeur has certainly had the Sabres' number. That trend continued Wednesday, as the Sabres fell to the New Jersey Devils 5-3 in front of a sold out First Niagara Center.

The craziness of the Sabres season
Can anyone recall a crazier start to a season for the Sabres? In just one month, I feel like we've lived through a season's worth of controversies/stories. I guess the more money Pegula brought about, the more problems we see. Alright, not really. I just wanted to use a Biggie song in this post and there you have it.

Why Jhonas Enroth Won’t Win the Calder
By Alexander Monaghan
President
Jhonas Enroth backstopped the Buffalo Sabres to yet another win tonight, shutting out the below-average Carolina Hurricanes offense. The rookie has now won seven of his 10 appearances, improving his already stellar 2.19 GAA and .926 SV% to 1.94 GAA and .935 SV%. Without those wins the Sabres most certainly would not be sitting atop the Northeast Division...
